What's On Running for 6 days in March, the annual Pasifika Festival celebrates New Zealand's multicultural identity through music, drama, film, arts and food. The festival kicks off with an opening night concert featuring the best of Auckland's Pacific performers and culminates in the festival day at Western Springs Park in central Auckland. Throughout the week there are various performances and exhibitions taking place around the central city. |

Festival Day Western Springs Pasifika Festival Day showcases the most impressive range of Pacific foods, crafts and music you will find in the South Pacific. It attracts over 200,000 people including over 1000 performers from Pacific communities. Each nation hosts a 'village' with traditional and contemporary performing arts, music and crafts. The villages also feature the best of Pacific cuisine such as raw fish, pineapple pies, fresh coconuts and much more. Plus more than 350 stalls sell everything from chop suey through to t-shirts, paintings, tapa (barkcloth) and weaving. |
