Open Studio Tour 2013 The free self drive art tour, to be taken at one's leisure, follows the eastern seaboard of the Coromandel Peninsula, from Tairua to Whenuakite, Hot Water Beach, Hahei, Cooks Beach / Flaxmill Bay, Whitianga and up to Kuaotunu and Otama. Studios are open 10am to 4pm and provide a fantastic opportunity for art lovers and collectors to purchase original art as investment or enjoyment directly from the artist, take part in art workshops and enjoy the stunning scenery. |

Taste of the Tour Showcase Exhibition A month long exhibition of artists will be held at Hot Waves, Hot Water Beach. Featuring artists from the Mercury Bay area of Tairua, Hahei, Whitianga, Kuaotunu and Otama Beach. Includes works by Michael Smither, Chris Charteris, Rachel Olsen and Paula McNeill who are among over 30 artists exhibiting paintings, sculpture, weaving and ceramics. |

Meet the Artists Art Escape showcases a diverse group of working artist studios including painters, sculptors, jewellers, printmakers and ceramic artists. Visitors can tour studios and galleries extremely diverse in character, have the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists, and if desired, purchase art directly from the source. Over the years, the Art Escape has grown from strength to strength to become a popular event on the Coromandel, a district well-known for its arts and crafts. |
