Hamilton's Hot Air Balloon Spectacle Over 100,000 spectators visit the central city site of Innes Common, at Hamilton Lake, to enjoy the spectacle the magnificent balloons create. Many thousands more enjoy watching their progress across the skies from other vantage points in the city and region. The balloonists drop in on schools and parks around the region as well as taking part in a range of competitions, always surrounded by curious crowds. Spectators get the opportunity to interact with the pilots and their crews during the festival and admission to this fabulous community event is free of charge. |
