Road Cycling Event Held annually in February, this women specific cycling event is designed as an introduction to mass participation road cycling events. The courses offered will cater for every level of cyclist, first time to elite. The event is open to all types of bikes, including road bikes, mountain bikes & tandems. The two circuits of 37km & 76km offer cyclists a short & long course option. |

Women's Cycle Events Canterbury The Girls on Bikes short course of 37km has little in the way of ups and downs, but will present a challenge to novices with the Canterbury Nor'wester always ready to throw a little extra into the ride. The longer course of 76km is more of a challenge and is an option for all well trained recreational riders as well as catering for A, B, C and D grade licensed club riders. The start and finish of the event will be at the luxurious Methven Resort, where riders will have the opportunity to have a swim, win great spot prizes & giveways and experience the true spirit of Methven hospitality. |

Post Event Celebration This will be held at Methven Resort with a start time of 1pm. Facilities at the resort will be available to all those attending, including the use of the swimming pool and outdoor hot pools. Official prizegiving will commence at 2.30pm, with the Girls on Bikes Lifeguard Competition just prior to this. Following the competition and prizegiving, there will be a BBQ style meal and pool party. |
